Only those members with Victorian Building Authority (VBA) registration can call themselves a Master Builder.

Melbourne Rain Garden Competition

Raingardens are self-watering, low-maintenance gardens designed to protect our rivers and creeks, by capturing stormwater that runs off hard surfaces when it rains.

One of the many benefits of a rain garden an environment for children catching tadpoles in a sediment-water collection point.

In 2011, Calm Living Homes won the Melbourne Water RainGarden Competition for the stormwater system our company designed for Machu Picchu.

CPD – 5 Star Sustainability Excellence Award

The CPD Awards,

The awards are designed to recognise and encourage training and professional development within the building industry. They identify RBPs who, by participating in training and development, are exemplars in developing their own skills and knowledge, and consequently make a contribution to the building industry as a whole.

This prestigious award is handed out to registered building practitioners in any registration category, who have undertaken green training and applied the sustainability principles to their own workplace in the past 12 months.

Anton is passionate about caring for the planet and green building, and recently completed a Certificate IV in Building and Design (Environment Management).

Built Environment Awards – New Dwelling category in the City of Whitehorse

Good design creates engaging and innovative places that are loved and valued by the people who use them. The City of Whitehorse Built Environment Awards celebrate the value of good design and creative thinking by showcasing the best in design and environmental sustainability in the built environment. The awards recognise and celebrate the people who contribute to good design within the City of Whitehorse.

The completed rebuild of a unique, eco-friendly and highly energy efficient house in Melbourne has resulted in an extraordinary sustainable home in an exceptional setting. The design had to overcome many challenges – including a running creek prone to flooding. This house is located on Jeffery Street which is a National Heritage street in Blackburn known as one of the most unique native environments in residential Melbourne. The new, unique family home includes a four-bedrooms, three bathrooms, three living areas and an alfresco entertain space.
